Watermelon, Mint, and Himalayan Salt Shrub

Our Watermelon, Mint, and Himalayan Salt Shrub reminds us of summertime, even in the middle of winter. Watermelon is one of the most hydrating fruits on the planet. Accompanied by subtly sweet and cooling mint, both flavors are heightened and brightened by Himalayan Salt.

Urban Pharm Shrubs are versatile. Start by adding a shrub splash to sparkling or still water. Make your morning apple cider vinegar dose something to savor rather than throw back. Add a sprig of rosemary to add some texture. Don’t look now, but you may have a festive mocktail or cocktail on your hands. Shrub up your next marinade or dressing.

Each little bottle has about 7 servings and each big bottle has about 12 servings, depending on how vinegar-forward you want to be.

Raw apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is a tried & true health aid. Thanks to acetic acid and loads of friendly bacteria, apple cider vinegar is great for your gut. It also supports digestion, lowers blood sugar, and improves insulin sensitivity.

Raw Honey: Honey is sweet and delicious as well as rich in antioxidants. Although the body processes honey as it does cane sugar (raising blood sugar levels), the composition of honey actually improves blood sugar regulation.

Sunshine Gazpacho
This is so easy and so freaking delicious.
🍉 Take all of those yellow and orange tomatoes that are taking over your counter right now—especially the super sweet cherry ones—and put them in a blender.
🍉 Throw in whatever onion product you need to use up—we used shallot and garlic.
vIf you’ve got an orange melon around, like cantaloupe, or maybe even yellow watermelon, add some of that. If not, no worries.
🍉 Salt, of course. We like course or flaked sea salt. Or pink Himalayan.
🍉 And the finishing touch that takes it to a whole new level...a few tablespoons of Urban Pharm Watermelon + Mint shrub!

Watermelon Mint Mojito
🍉 Fill a glass with ice
🍉 Add one jigger (2 ounces) of rum
🍉 Add half of a jigger (1 ounce) of Watermelon, Mint, and Himalayan Salt Shrub
🍉 Top with club soda
🍉 Stir and garnish with fresh mint
Stick with the ratio of rum to shrub to club soda, or mess around with more or less of each to fine-tune to your taste. Add a basil garnish to create some herbal complexity. A pinch of salt or a squeeze of lime to highlight and complexify flavors.
