Limited Edition: Pear, Turmeric, and Ginger

Our Pear, Turmeric, and Ginger shrub is an anti-inflammatory shot of sunshine. The pear contributes a bit of juicy depth, the turmeric adds some earthiness, and the ginger offers a familiar and comforting kick. The combination has a spicy warmth that is perfect around a winter fire.

Urban Pharm Shrubs are versatile. Start by adding a shrub splash to sparkling or still water. Make your morning apple cider vinegar dose something to savor rather than throw back. Add a sprig of rosemary to add some texture. Don’t look now, but you may have a festive mocktail or cocktail on your hands. Shrub up your next marinade or dressing. Play around to your liking.

Each little bottle has about 7 servings and each big bottle has about 12 servings, depending on how vinegar-forward you want to be.

Raw apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is a tried & true health aid. Thanks to acetic acid and loads of friendly bacteria, apple cider vinegar supports digestion, lowers blood sugar, and improves insulin sensitivity.

Raw honey: Honey is sweet and delicious, as well as rich in antioxidants. Although the body processes honey as it does cane sugar (raising blood sugar levels), the composition of honey actually improves blood sugar regulation.

Pear: Succulent and delicious, pears are high in fiber and vitamin C, as well as antioxidants. They are known to speed up the healing of colds and coughs.

Turmeric: Turmeric, notably its most active compound, curcumin, is scientifically proven to decrease inflammation in the body. This alone helps with a myriad of body issues, ranging from heart health to cancer to arthritis. This spice is a beautiful orange color with an earthy, musky, slightly peppery flavor.

Ginger contains several essential vitamins, notably vitamin C, vitamin B6, and vitamin E, all of which support immune health and cognitive function. Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and is well known for quelling nausea and gastric discomfort.

Pear Ginger Houseparty

Ingredients:
🍐 2 tablespoons Urban Pharm Pear, Turmeric, and Ginger shrub
🍐 1 tablespoon ginger juice OR ½ cup Ginger Beer
🍐 Juice of ½ lime
🍐 Sparkling water

Steps:
🍐 Fill a festive glass with ice
🍐 Add shrub, lime juice, and ginger juice (or ginger beer)
🍐 Top with sparkling water
🍐 Garnish with a slice of lime

This mocktail is a delicious houseparty of sweet pear, zesty lime, spicy ginger, and the earthy warmth of turmeric. It's a perfect non-alcoholic beverage that's both refreshing and intriguing. Feel free to adjust the sweetness and spice levels according to your preference.
